Description Specifications
Desperate for a victory on the 3rd day of the Battle of Gettysburg, General Robert E. Lee orders an attack on the center of the Union line. The men of General George E. Pickett’s command moved forward across almost a mile of open field, taking tremendous casualties along the way. This diorama depicts Gen. Lewis Armistead urging his men forward, his hat on his sword to lead his men, as he manages to reach the stone wall defended by the Union Army, where he will fall in battle. Depicted for the Union is the 114th Pa. Regiment flag, along with various Confederate regimental flags, including the 56th Virginia, and approximately 40 figures. This piece is presented on a finished wood base measuring 30” W by 10” D by 10” H with a brass nameplate, and covered by a clear acrylic case.
