General George Armstrong Custer, having split up his command and impetuously attacked what he thought was a small encampment of Indians, finds himself outnumbered. Custer and his men have dismounted, and are using their dead horses for cover. Sioux warriors attack and move in for the kill. 42 figures, including 7 mounted Indians, are depicted in this 30” W by 10” D by 10” H diorama, which is presented on a finished wood base with a clear acrylic case and a brass nameplate.
